With the increasing demand for the powerful scooters in the country, TVS Motor has finally unveiled the new 125cc scooter which is christened as NTorq. The newly launched 125cc scooter is aimed to strengthen TVS Motors’ scooter product portfolio for the domestic market which is priced at INR 58,750 (ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter was showcased at the Indian motor shows previously in the form of Graphite concept and Entorq concept. Moreover, the 125cc scooter was also spied several times on the Indian roads. The current portfolio of Hosur based bike manufacturer includes TVS Jupiter, Zest, TVS Wego and Scooty Pep+. Talking about the power specifications, the new NTorq scooter comes loaded with all-new 125 cc single-cylinder, 3-valve CVTi fuel injected motor. The unit is tuned to produce maximum power of 9.2 bhp that comes mated to an CVT gearbox. As far as the performance is concerned, the new 125cc scooter is capable of hitting the 60kmph mark in just 9 seconds prior reaching the top speed of 95 kmph. The suspension duties on the new NTorq scooter is carried out by telescopic forks at the front along with gas charged mono-shock setup at the rear. For braking, the new scooter comes equipped with a petal disc upfront and a drum brake at the rear. In terms of pricing, the new TVS NTorq scooter priced at INR 71,000 to INR 76,000 (on-road). Once launched, the new TVS NTorq 125 will be pitted against Honda Activa, Suzuki Access and the upcoming Aprilia 125.
