With all the hype around the EcoSport, it was clear that the compact SUV was going to be a big hit. But no one knew how big until the news report from Financial Express was out.
According to the report, Ford India has received more than 17,000 bookings for the EcoSport in just two weeks from its launch. The diesel powered variant is the one most prospective buyers are interested in.
Although the EcoSport is a good product, but it's the killer pricing that has made it such an interesting proposition for buyers looking for hatchbacks, sedans or compact SUVs. Ford is currently busy solving the issues for which it made the recall of diesel powered EcoSports but we expect the carmaker to release more information about how high the sales figures have gone.
