Mercedes has released the first teaser images of the 2012 B-Class hatchback. The model will be launched at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September, and will go on sale in select markets in Eurpoe by November. The manufacturer claims that the update gives the B-Class more space, more technlogy and a new set of engines to choose from. The new petrol engine will offer direct injection, turbocharging, and a new dual-clutch automatic transmission will be an option. The petrols will offer either 121PS or 154PS and the diesels, 107PS or 134PS. A 2.0-litre petrol engine with even more power is expected later. Adaptive headlamp assist, blind spot assist, lane-keeping assist and a radar-based collision warning system are on the options list as well. The B-Class was considered by Mercedes India for a launch sometime in the distant future, but there are no concrete plans as of now.
