Taking forward Nissan's potent 4X4 heritage is the all-new 2014 Nissan X-Trail, which has made its global debut today at the on-going 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model is built on the newly developed Common Modular Platform (CMF), which has been jointly created with alliance partner Renault and will be available in 190 countries around the world.

From the looks of it, the all-new X-Trail is indeed, the production version of the Nissan Hi-Cross Concept that was seen at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, featuring the same LED lit signature and a chromed 'U' in the center of the grille where the Nissan badge is housed. Neatly shaped 'boomerang' lights adorn the rear, while structured LED daytime running headlights creates a distinctive look up-front. Both high and low beams come standard on high grade models, while the 19-inch alloy wheels further gives the new X-Trail an imposing look.

On the inside, there are improved features – most of which get a dash of chrome and geometric metallic and piano black finishes. Theatre-style seating and the option of two extra sears enables the new X-Trail to accommodate up to 7 adults.
