2013 Frankfurt Motor Show: 2014 Porsche Panamera Diesel launched

More powerful than the current version, the 2014 Panamera Diesel goes on sale in January next year.

At the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, Porsche has made sure not to miss any opportunity. While the Macan SUV is a bit far, the German carmaker has introduced the updated Panamera Diesel. Termed as a model year 2014 car, it will go on sale in January next year.

It still continues to draw power from a 3-litre V6, which now makes more power (304PS now, as compared to the older car's 253PS) and more torque (650Nm). Porsche Torque Vectoring system is now part of standard equipment while the car has been made sportier, thanks to the more rigid anti rolls bars. The 0-100kmph time too is said to be gone down by 0.8s to a very decent 6 seconds.

Prices start at EUR 85,000 (inclusive of VAT) in Germany.
