2013 Frankfurt Motor Show: Compact SUV concept from Kia

Kia has no immediate plans to put the concept into production.

Korean auto giant Kia will unveil its dramatic new concept at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The carmaker has officially released a teaser image of the concept which hints at a possible future B-segment contender ready to take on the Nissan Juke in Europe.

Kia says this new concept features intriguing design cues not usually linked with small cars and has been created in Europe with European tastes and expectations in mind. The brand has also made it clear that there are no immediate plans to put the concept into production. Instead, the concept will be shown to gauge potential customer response for forthcoming models.

If the production-spec model were to go on sale anytime soon, it would be competing with the hugely successful models like the Nissan Juke and the Renault Captur.
