2013 Frankfurt Motor Show: Suzuki iV-4 concept previews upcoming SUV

The production-spec SUV will take on the Nissan Juke, Ford EcoSport and the Renault Captur in Europe.  

Suzuki has taken the wraps off the iV-4 concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The brand says the concept iV-4 previews the design direction which will be taken for the future SUVs.

Designed with a theme called “Grab your field”, this new concept model embodies the basic ruggedness of an SUV. Boasting of familiar design cues seen in Suzuki SUVs such as the clam-shell shaped bonnet and the front grille divided into five, the overall styling is quite modern and the iV-4 carries the rugged look rather well.

In all probability, the production-spec model will take on the Nissan Juke, Ford EcoSport and the Renault Captur in Europe. It is expected to be powered by SX4 S-Cross’ 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines with availability of both two and four wheel drive configurations.
