2013 LA Auto Show: Hyundai unveils 2014 Elantra Sport

Apart from slight visual upgrades, the car also gets an updated steering system and stiffer suspension setup.

Hyundai Elantra is surely one of the best looking Hyundais ever but the carmaker has decided to make it look even better. So, all Hyundai needed was to give the Elantra a new black chrome grille, two tone alloy wheels, LEDs in headlamps, updated tail-lights and a small rear spoiler. On the inside, you get a good dose of leather, aluminum pedals, a 4.3-inch touchscreen equipped six speaker audio system etc.

Called Hyundai Elantra Sport, the car was recently unveiled at the ongoing Los Angeles Auto Show but 'Sport' is not the word you'd associate with Hyundai, right? Well, given the Elantra Sport gets a stiffer suspension setup and updated steering system, we hope Hyundai has made the car worthy of the moniker. Quite supportive of the branding should be the 2-litre GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) petrol engine in the car, which makes about 175PS of power and 208Nm of torque.

The car is a new addition to the Elantra line-up (which was also refreshed at the L.A Auto Show). We want one in India too!
