2013 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R revealed!
The Wagon R facelift will be launched officially in a few days from now.
We have just received all the official details on the Wagon R facelift – which Maruti Suzuki had accidently revealed a few days back through one of its brand commercials. The refreshed Wagon R features a new grille upfront, along with a new front bumper and redesigned fog-lamps. The change isn’t purely cosmetic, hints Maruti Suzuki, as the upper section of the grille has been designed to reduce wind noise. The overall design now falls in line with Suzuki’s ‘waterfall’ design theme.

On the inside, the Wagon R facelift gets a new beige-and-black colour scheme with matching upholstery in the LX and LXi trims. The top of the line VXi trim gets all-beige upholstery instead. The audio system has been upgraded too and gets feather-touch switches and USB compatibility. The left hand side of the dashboard also gets a new, push-type storage compartment. The inside rear-view mirror now gets the much needed Day-Night notch.

The engine specs remain unchanged – which means you still get the 1.0-litre K-series petrol engine which produces 68PS of power and 90 Nm of torque. The engine, however, is now OBD-II (On-board Diagnostics) compliant, which allows the service station to detect engine-related problems faster.

The prices for the refreshed, 2013 Wagon R will be revealed in a few days from now and the car will be available in LX, LXi and VXi trims and in Petrol, CNG and LPG variants. Stay tuned to OnCars for all the details.
