The A-Class based sedan, known as the CLA is officially out now. Most of us here love the way the A-Class looks and the CLA is no different. It looks striking and although it might not be an out and out premium product, it is one of the best looking Mercs on sale. The streamlined structure of the CLA has a very low coefficient of drag (Cd = 0.22), it looks great and makes it worthy of its 'baby-CLS' moniker.  Also Read - Germany to tighten rules on foreign takeovers: Report

Internationally the CLA will be available with three engine options, 1.6-litre petrol in two states of tune, 2.0-litre petrol and 2.2-litre diesel. Transmission options include a standard 6-speed 'box and a seven speed dual clutch unit. Mercedes Benz will also be offering their four wheel drive system, the 4-Matic as an option on the CLA.

The car's available for ordering and the it will reach the dealerships abroad sometime in April 2013. The CLA180 (the base variant of CLA) costs an equivalent of Rs 21 lakh. And if you're not patient enough to wait for Merc India to bring the car here, please note that the price mentioned here is excluding import duties.
