2013 Shanghai Auto Show: Suzuki Authentics Concept revealed

After releasing the first batch of teaser images, Suzuki has finally revealed its all-new Authentics Concept at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show. The Concept is said to preview the next-generation SX4 sedan and the SX4 crossover, which was shown at this year's 2013 Geneva Motor Show. 

The C-segment sedan embraces a “Sporty x Elegant” design philosophy that has resulted into a low roofline, a long wheelbases and a strong character line that gives a “wind-cutting image along with a rich and fine curved surface.”

As per the official announcement, Suzuki will manufacture the model based on Authentics Concept at the Chongqing Changan Suzuki joint venture in China and the production version is said to hit showrooms in the Chinese market by 2014. The production version will be sold alongside the Suzuki SX4 Crossover. 

The oily bits have still been kept under wraps, but we reckon the same range of engines will power the Authentics as the SX4 Crossover. 

The next-generatin Maruti Suzuki SX4 sedan is most likely to be derived from the Suzuki Authentics Concept. Stay tuned for more updates.
