While the 2013 Octavia vRS is destined to make its world premiere at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in July, Skoda has already released the first set of pictures and all the details of the upcoming hot version of the 2013 Octavia.
The 2013 Octavia vRS is available either as a sedan or an estate. The car is offered with high-performance turbocharged petrol and diesel engines – a 2-litre TSI petrol and a 2-litre TDI diesel engine with 217 and 181bhp of power respectively. Skoda claims a top speed of 250kmph for the petrol powered model, making it not only faster than the Volkswagen Golf GTI on which it’s based, but also the fastest Octavia vRS ever.
Complimenting the sporty character, the Octavia vRS gets sports suspension as standard which lowers the car by 12mm compared to the standard model. The car also comes equipped with a new XDS electronic differential which helps reduce understeer and improve traction through the corners.
The Octavia vRS will make its world debut at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, before going on sale sometime during August in the UK.
