2014 BMW M3 will be a lightweight; To weigh less than 1,500kg

Thanks to extensive use of lightweight carbon-fiber materials. 

BMW is all set to make both Audi and Mercedes Benz sweat with the all-new 2014 M3. Slated to debut soon, this new sports sedan will put out over 430PS of power and weigh less than 1,500 kg. That means it will be the lightest of the current crop of compact sports sedans.  

Under the hood of the upcoming M3 will be a turbocharged 6-cylinder engine with around 435PS of power and according to the sources, there will be an even more potent version which will eventually be offered as a part of the competition package.  

Being this light, the 2014 M3 is said to be significantly faster than its predecessors including the hardcore E92 M3 GTS. Expected to roll into the markets as a 2014 model, BMW should be launching the M3 soon. We can't wait!
