2015 Maruti Alto 800 Facelift to launch in December: To offer better fuel efficiency

Maruti Suzuki India, country’s largest carmaker has recently revealed that the 2015 Alto 800 facelift will launch this December. The updated Alto 800 will come with some minor cosmetic tweaks and will also be more fuel efficient. Sources also claim that the new Alto 800 is also expected to sport an all-new diesel engine.

Reports claim that the new updated Alto 800 comes with some mechanical upgrades, which has apparently made the car all the more fuel efficient. Currently the car delivers an ARAI-tested mileage of 22kmpl. Maruti also offers the Alto 800 in a CNG variant that offers a 30.46 kmpl.

Additionally, as mentioned earlier Maruti also is likely to introduce a two-cylinder 800cc diesel engine. It is the same engine that currently powering the recently launched diesel Celerio hatchback, which delivers ARAI certified 27.62kpl making it country’s most fuel efficient car.

Currently the Alto 800 is powered by a 796 CC 0.8-litre engine that produces 48 PS of power and 69 Nm of torque. Available in seven petrol variants the Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 comes in the price range of INR 2.4 – 3.3 lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).
