2017 Maruti Suzuki S-Cross Facelift Bookings Open Officially; Launch Date, Price in India, Interior, Specs

The bookings for Maruti Suzuki S-Cross 2017 have been officially commenced by Maruti Suzuki India with token amount of INR 11,000 across all the NEXA dealerships across India.

Maruti Suzuki India is all set to launch the brand new avatar of S-Cross in India this week. Confirming the same, the Indo-Japanese car maker has officially commenced the bookings for the facelifted Maruti S-Cross with token amount of INR 11,000 across 280+ NEXA dealerships in the country. To be offered across 4 variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, the new S-Cross will also be offered with 4 exciting colour options along with all-new addition to the lot – NEXA Blue. The updated S-Cross facelift will continue to be retailed through company’s premium dealership network. After launching the all-new Dzire in India, Maruti Suzuki India is now betting big on the new Maruti S-Cross. The new 2017 S-Cross has been spied on Indian roads previously indicating the arrival of the premium crossover is imminent. Launched in the year 2015, the car maker initiated the NEXA dealership network by launching the current generation S-Cross in India. The development of new S-Cross was confirmed by C V Raman in the past by stating that the refreshed version of S-Cross will be launched in India during Diwali. On the exterior, the all-new S-Cross will sport new grille at the front with multiple vertical slats giving a skip to single chrome strip and all-new bumper. The refreshed avatar of the Crossover will also bag new projector headlamps with LED DRLs. The 2017 S-Cross will also get new taillight assembly which however retains the profile as that of the current model. The masculine touch of the vehicle is enhanced by the new bumper at the rear. Moreover, new alloy wheel design adds elegant character to the side profile of the vehicle. On the inside, the facelifted Maruti S-Cross will sport new seat fabric, however, the overall aesthetic will remain the same. Also, a new infotainment system is likely to be seen on the new avatar with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Coming to the powertrain options, the new S-Cross will be powered by a 1.3-litre DDiS 200 with Smart Hybrid technology. The oil burner can develop 89 bhp of max power with peak torque of 200Nm. Transmission duties will be carried out by 5-speed manual. Coming to the price point, the new S-Cross is expected to slightly pricier than the current model which will take on Renault Captur, Hyundai Creta, Fiat Avventura and others.
