Audi India will be launching the new generation Audi Q5 in the domestic market on 18th January, 2018. The company will be rolling out the updated avatar of Q5 in India after its world premiere at Paris Motor Show 2016. To be based on the MLB-Evo platform, the new generation Q5 will be lighter than the current generation by 90 kgs. For the domestic market, the SUV will get the same 2.0-litre TDI diesel and 2.0-litre TFSI turbo-petrol engine options. The former can make maximum power of 190PS along with peak torque of 380Nm while the latter can produce 252PS of max power. Both the unit will be mated to a 7-speed S tronic automatic gearbox along with Quattro permanent AWD system as standard fitment.
The overall appearance of the 2018 Audi Q5 will be accentuated by Matrix LED headlights with dynamic turn signals, 21-inch alloy wheels, LED rear lights with dynamic turn signals. On the feature front, the all-new Audi Q5 will sport hi-tech features like a 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit, MMI navigation plus with MMI touch with an 8.3-inch display, Bang & Olufsen sound system with 3D sound, Audi phone box wireless smartphone charger and much more. As far as the pricing is concerned, the new Audi Q5 2018 is expected to fall in the price bracket of INR 45 lakh to INR 50 lakh (ex-showroom). The German car maker will be introducing the SUV in the form of CKD unit from its facility in Mexico which will be assembled at Audi’s plant in Aurangabad. The company has already listed the upcoming SUV on its Indian website hinting the pre-bookings commencement of the SUV.
