Ahead of its possible debut next month, the Mahindra XUV500 2018 facelift model has been spied testing on the Delhi-Jaipur highway. Mahindra and Mahindra is expected to showcase the XUV500 facelift at the Auto Expo 2018. Caught on a video, courtesy Youtuber OFFICIAL GAMERx, the test mule can be seen testing alongside the Mahindra S201, the U321 MPV and another Mahindra XUV500 test mule that is sporting a different grille. As can be seen in the images, the new Mahindra XUV500 gets redesigned dual barrel projector headlamps with the LED daytime running lights placed on top of them. The car is also expected to get a revised grille and front bumper. Other changes could include new alloy-wheels, revised tailgate design and new interior trim. One of the biggest changes expected on the new Mahindra XUV500 facelift is under the hood. Unlike the current model, the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine on the facelift model will reportedly produce 170 BHP of maximum power and close to 400 Nm of peak torque. The same engine produces 138 BHP of power and 320 Nm of torque. The car will get the same 6-speed manual as well automatic transmission along with an optional AWD system.
