
Hinduja Group's flagship firm, Ashok Leyland yesterday unveiled the long due Stile MPV that was first showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo. The seven seater Stile, which is literally a rebadged Nissan Evalia MPV was unveiled by Mr Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Renault-Nissan Alliance and G.P. Hinduja, chairman, Hinduja Group.

Developed by Ashok Leyland-Nissan Motor Company joint venture, the Stile MPV is expected to be launching Indian market before the festive season, starting in September begins and when it does the model will compete with the likes of Toyota Innova, Mahindra Xylo, Chevrolet Tavera and also the Nissan Evalia. The vehicle will be rolled out of Nissan's manufacturing plant at Oragadam near Chennai.
The Stile MPV, which is capable of accommodating 7 to 8 people is mainly positioned to handle demand from the commercial space in the form of hotel shuttles, taxi services, panel vans, courier services and inter-city travel.
Under the hood, is a 1.5-Litre K9K diesel engine that is rated at 75PS and 185Nm. The power is sent to the front wheels via a 5-Speed manual transmission.

“With Stile, Ashok Leyland is entering into a new vehicle segment, and our confidence with Stile stems from our confidence in the strength of our combined teams in Nissan and Ashok Leyland,” Ashok Leyland Chairman, Dheeraj G Hinduja said.
“Stile will strike the right chord with the Indian customer just like its first light commercial vehicle 'Dost' did so successfully”, he further added.
