Audi launches A8L W12

500PS, 0-100kmph in 4.7 seconds. Enough said.

Audi has launched the flagship variant of its flagship model, the A8L powered by the 6.3-litre twelve cylinder W12 FSI engine. This engine develops 500PS and 625Nm, and catapults the luxo-barge to 100kmph in 4.7 seconds. Top speed is limited to 250kmph. Headlamps are all-LED units, an option on the other variants. Also standard are massaging seats with foot rests.

The usual list of distinguishing features separates the W12 from the rest of the model range: different wheels, badging, and exhaust designs. The first batch of 20 examples for India is nearly sold out, according to Audi. The price? A cool Rs 1.26 crore, ex-showroom.
