BMW first showed off the Z4 facelift in January this year at the Detroit Motor Show. Since then, the facelifted version has been on sale in many countries although BMW India’s lineup is yet to see the addition of the updated Z4.
Although now it seems Z4 enthusiasts will not have to wait too long as the launch of this new model is said to be just around the corner. According to a report by Overdrive, BMW India will launch the Z4 facelift on November 14, 2013.
The updated Z4 gets subtle changes to the design in the form of new shape headlamps with LEDs and new-design alloy wheels. The new model will also be offered with contrasting roof color as an option. Rest of the changes includes minutely redesigned interior bits and a new trim. However, in spite of the makeover, it is a bit hard to differentiate the new Z4 from the old one.
As for the engine lineup, BMW introduced a smaller 2-litre turbocharged engine with the launch of the Z4 facelift. Powering the sDrive 18i variant, the 2-litre turbocharged engine produces little over 150 PS of power and 240Nm of torque. BMW India, however, is likely to sell the new Z4 in the same sDrive 35i variant which gets a 3-litre 6-cylinder engine producing 308PS of power and 400Nm of torque.
