BMW X1 series finally launched at 2016 Auto Expo, Delhi

BMW X1 has come with revised exteriors and interiors and subtle re-additions in the series. The side profile of the model is 18 inches alloyed rim and has finely-tuned front and rear bumpers. The signature kidney shaped front radiator grille has black high gloss finishing bars whereas the upfront of the car has bi-xenon head lights with four LED daytime. Apart from these features, the head lights have integrated washer system and lower bumper has fog lights for augmented visibility at night or also during bad weather conditions. The outside rear view mirrors are adjustable and can be folded electrically featuring integrated LED turn indicators. BMW X1 features individual roof rails, rain sensor and automatic driving lights thus summing up the features available on the outside of the vehicle.

 

BMW X1 has a cabin with the same space as the out-going model whereas certain familiar features have been embedded such as leather wrapped M steering wheel. The interior trim finishers are presented in aluminum dark and have brushed crosswise finishing. The driver and co-passenger seats are electrically adjustable plus the option of memory function is also available on the driver’s seat. The rear seat can be divided in 40:20:40 split and also feature backrest. The inside of the vehicle is given a luxurious look with addition of seats covered with cloth upholstery and Velour floor mats. Provision of ambient lighting is a perk which soothes the ambience of the cabin. The luxury vehicle has endowed the customers with distinguished entertainment goodies like Bluetooth with hands free and USB connectivity park distance control rear, CD drive MP3 decoder and radio BMW business CD including auxiliary input.

 

 

BMW X1 has power derived from a 2.0 litre , four cylinder, TwinPower Turbo diesel motor pumping out peak power of 184 Hp at 4000 RPM and with maximum torque of 380 Nm. The 2.0 litre diesel engine delivers a great performance making handling and ride quality equally good. The rear wheel drive avatar is manageable though the four wheel drive system is missing in the version.  The engine is refined but is a bit noisy. ARAI rated fuel economy delivered by the SUV is 17.05 featuring automatic start/stop function and brake energy regeneration works towards bettering the fuel economy.

 

 

BMW X1 competes with Audi’s Q3, Mercedes GLA class in the Indian market. BMW X1 has got more sporty and even on the presentation front it vouches a superior run.
