Chevrolet will be launching the diesel version of the Beat on July 25 which we had caught a few times earlier on test. With the details revealed, the Beat diesel will be powered by the India exclusive 1.0 diesel engine derived from the Fiat’s 1.3 litre Multijet engine. The engine produces 58.5 PS of power at 4,000 rpm while producing 150Nm of torque at 1,750 rpm. The ARAI fuel efficiency for the car has been rated at 24kmpl. Nothing has changed as far as cosmetics go and the car is similar to the Petrol version. Prices for the same will be revealed at the launch.
