Entry-level XE diesel variant of Nissan Micra launched at Rs 5.57 lakh

Nissan India has just launched the diesel-powered Micra XE, the new entry-level diesel variant of the popular Japanese hatchback. With the introduction of this new entry-level variant, the new Micra is now available with a total of 12 variants, giving buyers an extensive choice.

The new Micra XE diesel is based on the new facelifted fourth-gen model launched earlier during the year.  With an ARAI certified fuel economy of 23.08 kmpl, the Micra diesel is amongst the most fuel efficient cars on sale in India. Priced at Rs 5.57 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi) sales of this new model will commence from September 4, 2013.

Standard features on the diesel Micra XE include chrome-plated grille, trip computer, power steering with tilt adjust, engine immobilizer and a driver-side airbag.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kenichiro Yomura, President of Nissan India Operations & MD & CEO, Nissan Motor India said, The launch of new Micra range in July received an overwhelming response from our customers.
