Exclusive: Ashok Leyland Stile to launch on October 5, 2013
The Stile is expected to cost Rs 30,000 to 35,000 less than the Evalia.

After unveiling it in July this year, Ashok Leyland is set to launch the long-awaited Stile MPV on October 5, 2013. Shown first at the 2012 Auto Expo, the seven-seater Stile basically is a rebadged Nissan Evalia which has been around for quite some time.
Designed to cater to the needs of the commercial vehicle segment, the Stile will be positioned below the Evalia in terms of pricing. The MPV will be powered by the same 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine found in the Evalia however; it will be detuned to produce 75PS of power and around 185Nm of torque. Like the Evalia, the engine is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox which sends power to the front wheels.
With the Stile expected to cost Rs 30,000 to 35,000 less than the Evalia, the former will compete with the Chevrolet Enjoy, Tavera and the Maruti Suzuki Eeco.
