Ferrari 458 Italia goes topless

Ferrari 458 Italia Spider has been launched for the American market for USD 320,000 

Earlier this year, Ferrari introduced the 458 Italia Spider at the Frankfurt Motor Show. This is the first mid-engined car from Ferrari with a retractable convertible hardtop and one of the best looking car ever made by Ferrari. It’s a mixture of art and performance and in convertible form (the roof retracts in just 14 seconds), you can hear the sound of that glorious V8 even more clearly than before.
 
The Italian supercar maker has now launched their mid-engine supercar for USD 320,000. It is powered by the same 4.5l V8 as the hard top model, producing 570PS of power which pushes the car to a top speed of 320kmph and 0-100kmph in just 3.4 seconds. 
 
This car will compete with the recently launched Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, Audi R8 GT Spyder and the flagship model of Mercedes, the SLS AMG convertible. However, India will have to wait till the end of 2012 for the Spider to make it here.
