Ferrari California T Launched in Delhi: Company prices the Supercar at INR 3.45 Crore

Ferrari, the Italian supercar marque has launched the new turbocharged variant of its famed California model – California T in India at INR 3.45 Crore (ex-showroom Delhi). Marking Ferrari’s re-entry into the India market, the California T is the most affordable Ferrari an enthusiast can buy in India. For its second venture Ferrari has partnered with one of the leading luxury car importers Selects Motors.

The head of sales for Ferrari West Asia and Africa, Aurelien Sauvard said the company has received eight bookings so far for the new model from the country where already around 50 cars are on the road. He said the company hopes to make delivery over the next three-four months depending on the colour and extra features.

 

He said, “We are looking at selling around 20 cars this year here,” Sauvard said, adding two cars– F12-Berlinetta and 458-Speciale — were delivered last week in the country. Globally, Ferrari sold 7,300 units in 2014. The new Ferrari showroom for Delhi is currently is process and will be inaugurated soon at the plush location of Mathura Road in South Delhi.

 

Coming the car itself, The Ferrari California T symbolises elegance, sportiness, versatility and exclusivity. The carmaker launched the Californai model in the 1950s. The new car offers direct-injection with a 3,855-cc 3.9 litre, V8 turbocharged engine mounted very low in the chassis in the mid-front and churns out a peak power of 553 PS and can attain a top speed of 315 kmph. It can race to 100kmph speed in 3.6 seconds. The California T has a F1-inspired, dual clutch with 7 gears system with one reverse gear and will also offers 15 per cent more fuel efficiency.

 

The California T features a revised body design to match the new engines performance and boasts of a refined cabin and a retractable hard top. Its sleek proportions are penned by the Ferrari Styling Centre in collaboration with Pininfarina.

 

Last afternoon Ferrari introduced the California T in Mumbai as well, launched at the same price on INR 3.45 crore (ex-showroom Mumbai). In the financial capital, Ferrai will be represented by the much known Navnit Motors, who is one of the most respectable luxury car dealers in India.
