Ferrari Officially Re-Enters India: Launches Ferrari California T at INR 3.45 Crore

Ferrari the Italian supercar maker today officially returned to India by launching of its most popular convertibles – the California T. Priced at INR 3.45 Crore (ex-showroom Mumbai) the California T will be the most affordable Ferrari and enthusiast can buy in India.

The California T is only be the first of the lot to enter India now, and will soon be followed by the Italian marque’s rest on the line-up. Powered by a 3.9 litre, V8 direct injection engine of the California T can churns out a peak power of 553 PS and can attain a top speed of 315 kmph. It can race to 100kmph speed in 3.6 seconds. The California T has a F1-inspired, dual clutch with 7 gears system with one reverse gear.

For its second innings, Ferrari India has partnered with two dealerships – Navnit Motors in Mumbai and Select Cars in Delhi. The Mumbai showroom will be soon be inaugurated at the heart of the business district of Bandra Kurla Complex, while the Delhi showroom will be launched at Mathura Road.

While the dealers are still in process of setting up new showrooms, the company has already started accepting booking for the car. According to sources, Ferrari's annual quota for India is already sold out, with dealers now accepting bookings only for 2016 deliveries. 

Ferrari is expected to bring in its entire line-up to India pretty soon, which includes Ferrari 488 GTB, Ferrari 458 Spider, Ferrari 458 Speciale, Ferrari FF and finally the Ferrari F-12 Berlinetta, capping the list at INR 4.72 crore (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
