Ford Figo & Aspire Sports Edition launched in India; Priced at INR 6.31 lakh?? & INR 6.5 lakh respectively

In a bid to cater the needs of premium oriented car buyers, Ford India has launched the new Figo & Aspire Sports Edition in India with starting price of INR 6.31 lakh and INR 6.5 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Ford India today has launched the sports edition of Ford Figo hatchback and Aspire sub-compact sedan in the domestic market for catering the needs of sports oriented fan base. Priced at INR 6.31 lakh and INR 6.50 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the Sports edition is based on titanium variant with both petrol and diesel trims. Moreover, it also comes with new suspension setup with bigger and wider 15-inch alloy wheels across the two trim levels. The petrol derivative of Ford Figo Sport Edition is priced at INR 6.31 lakh while the diesel version sees a price tag of INR 7.21 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi) whereas the Figo Aspire Sport Edition counterpart gets a price tag of INR 6.5 lakh for petrol while the diesel unit is offered at INR 7.60 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi). Under the hood, both the model sport same set of engines wherein the petrol engine comes powered by a 1.2-litre petrol unit which is capable of developing 87bhp along with peak torque of 113Nm while the 1.5-litre diesel unit develops 99bhp and 215Nm of power figures. Both the units are offered with 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.

Offered with Sporty badges, both the models sport considerable cosmetic upgrades which comes with blacked fishnet grille, smoked sweptback headlamps, muscled bumper, side cladding, 15-inch alloy wheels, glossy black outside rear view mirrors with integrated turn signal lights and a blackened roof certainly elevates the sporty treatment. Both the models come with sporty decals with S lettering at the sides for differentiating sporty versions from regular ones. Moreover, Figo hatchback comes with large roof-mounted spoiler and some decals on the rear bumper while the rear end of Aspire sedan remains identical to the regular model. On the inside, both the models come with identical sporty treatment that enhances the overall appeal of both the models that sports all-black interiors along with premium quality materials. The steering comes wrapped with leather while the other equipments and features remains the same. While, the sporty Figo sports red stitching on the upholstery whereas the Aspire sees a fog white stitching that gives a premium feel to the cabin.
