Goods and Services Tax or GST will be implemented in India from 1st July 2017. Ahead of its implementation, Maruti Suzuki is offering a discount of INR 70,000 on its premium flagship crossover, the Maruti Suzuki S-Cross. Mid-size sedans, SUVs and crossovers are attracting lower tax rates under GST, resulting in substantial price cut for premium cars. To offset this price cut, as a result of GST, Maruti Suzuki has decided to offer a discount of INR 70,000 on the S-Cross premium crossover by passing on the GST tax benefits to its customers before the deadline. That said, this move is also in view of the scheduled launch of the new S-Cross facelift, which will be launched in India in October 2017.
