Owing to the recent hike in cess on premium and luxury cars by the GST council, Tata Motors have increased the prices of the Tata Hexa in India. The price hike on the Hexa is in the range of INR 76,000 to INR 95,000, depending upon the variant. That said, the prices are still below the pre-GST mark when the car was launched in India. Since the Tata Hexa falls in the SUV segment, the car gets the highest cess hike of 7 percent. That said, the prices of Hexa have been increased from INR 76,000 for the base XE 4*2 variant to INR 95,000 for the top-end XT 4*4 variant. The mid XM 4*2 variant gets a price hike of INR 80,000 while the XMA 4*2 variant gets a price increase of INR 91,000. Similarly, the top-end XT 4*2 variant has received a price hike of INR 91,000 along with the XTA 4*2 variant gets a price hike of INR 95,000, while the range topping XT 4*4 variant prices are increased by INR 95,000. With all that said, the Tata Hexa continues to come equipped with the same features and engine options. Under the hood, the car is powered by a 2.2-Litre VARICOR diesel engine that produces 154 BHP of maximum power and 400 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission along with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
