Help nab a 'Hit & Run' culprit who took life of an innocent man in Navi Mumbai
We appeal to our readers to take note of a flashy red car with the number plate, PB 03 0111 in Mumbai.
Yet, another innocent life was snatched due to road-rage and drunk driving. This time 27-year old, Shekhar Singh Tomar was killed on Navi Mumbai's, Palm Beach road, while he was commuting pillion on a motorcycle. On 20 March 2012, Tomar had thrown a party to celebrate the fact that he would soon become a proud father and was returning home on a motorcylce, which was being ridden by his friend, Sumeet Tiwari.
According to the FIR lodged by the victim's friend Tiwari, who escaped the accident with minor injuries, around 12:30AM both he and Tomar had rebuked the driver of a flashy red colour car, for careless driving. The accused driver first slowed down to allow the bike to go ahead – only to ruthlessly hit them from behind at a very high speed near Arenja Circle in Sector 19, Vashi, Navi Mumbai. The impact was such that Tomar sufferd major head and back injuries and eventually succumbed.
Fortunately enough, the number plate of the said red car got dislodged due to the high speed impact. The number plate reads, PB 03 0111 and is possibly the biggest lead the cops could get to nab the accused. However, its been more than two months, the Navi Mumbai police hasn't been able to crack the case of Navi Mumbai Hit and Run accident.

Shekhar Tomar's now widowed wife, Kavita Tomar has written this letter to appeal to people staying in Navi Mumbai to come forward with any information and help in catching the accused driver.
“I lost my husband Shekhar in a accident cum murder done by a red color sports car. The person who was driving the car was probably drunk as he was driving rashly. Shekhar was backseated on his friend's bike and he had angrily signalled the car's driver to drive properly when his car intentionally took a sharp cut in front of their bike. The car's driver then slowed down his speed to allow their bike to move ahead and then with full speed he had hit their bike intentionally from behind.Because of this my husband had suffered major injuries on his head and backbone which caused his death though his friend was fortunate enough to suffer only minor injuries. It's sad and even more hurtful that its almost more than two months now and the police is still not able to trace the whereabouts of the car or the culprit. The details of the car that was involved in this act is: Car number: PB 03 – 0111, red color sports car, it is usually seen near Vashi, Navi Mumbai. I request to everyone, specially residents of Navi Mumbai, if you have even slightest of information about this car or its owner please let me know. Please help us to trace the culprit.”
OnCars India would like to further appeal to our readers to watch out for a red colour car with registration number PB 03 0111 and contact us or nearby police authorities with any leads or information.
