Toyota Innova was a workhorse that helped the Japanese manufacturer establish itself in the Indian market. Thus the Innova Crysta had a lot riding on it when it was launched and as expected it has delivered some great goods. To prove this fact, we have the numbers which suggest that a car that costs more than the previous one and upwards of 10 lakh bracket has clocked 67,500 units since its launch.

The Toyota Innova has a generous size and measures 4,735 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width and 1,795 mm in height, while the wheelbase of 2750 mm provides generous space to the interiors. Innova Crysta was for the first time made available with a petrol engine in Crysta which is a 2.7 litre four-cylinder petrol which produces a power output of 164 bhp with peak torque of 245 Nm while mated to a 5-speed manual and 6-speed auto transmission.

The other two engine options are both diesel- a 2.4 litre diesel engine which produces a power output of 148 bhp along with 343 Nm of peak torque which is paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The last and the most powerful engine on offer is a 2.7 litre 4-cylinder diesel engine which produces a power output of 172 bhp along with a peak torque output of 360 Nm while the transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Toyota Innova Crysta is being offered in four grades which consist of G, GX, VX and ZX with 7 and 8 seater layouts which feature exceptional safety equipments. These comprise of seven airbags, ABS with EBD, Brake Assist, Hill assist control and engine immobilizer.
