Honda, the Japanese automaker had launched the Honda BR-V 7-seater SUV in the Indian car market on 5th May 2016. The vehicle has received a good response from car buyers, as the bookings have crossed over 10,000 since its launch last month. Speaking on the performance of BR-V, Mr. Yoichiro Ueno, President & CEO, Honda Cars India Ltd said, “The recently launched Honda BR-V has received a good consumer response with over 10,000 bookings since launch. BR-V has amassed strong interest from both young and middle aged customers. We are confident that it will attract more customers with its strong desirable values.”

The Honda BRV SUV is available in both diesel and petrol versions. The petrol version is powered by a tried and tested 1.5-litre i-VTEC engine that churns out 118bhp of power and 145Nm of torque. On the other hand, the diesel version of the SUV gets a 1.5-litre i-DTEC engine producing 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual gearbox driving the power to front wheels come as standard while a CVT automatic unit is offered with petrol version as well.
The Honda BRV is available in 4 trim levels and in total of 9 variants. The vehicle is priced in the range of INR 8.75 lakh to INR 12.90 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. The diesel version of the SUV is claimed to return 21.9kmpl of mileage while the petrol model delivers 15.4kmpl (MT) and 16kmpl (CVT). It directly rivals against the likes of the Hyundai Creta and the Renault Duster.
