Honda Civic, 2018 Honda CR-V, New Amaze & HR-V to Debut at Auto Expo 2018

Apart from the new Honda CR-V and the Honda Civic, the company will also showcase the Honda Clarity FCV Concept at the Auto Expo 2018.

Honda Car India is bracing itself for Asia’s biggest automobile extravaganza – the Delhi Auto Expo 2018. The Japanese car maker will make one global  debut and two Indian debuts of its products in India at the Auto Expo 2018. Of these, the global debut will be of the new generation Honda Amaze 2018 and the Indian debut of Honda HR-V, Honda Civic and the 2018 Honda CR-V. To add to the excitement, Honda Cars India will be launching all these cars in India in the coming two years. While we don’t have exact launch details, the company will launch the new Honda CR-V 2018 in India later this year. For the first time, Honda will offer the new CR-V in India with an all-new diesel power-train. To add to it, the new Honda CR-V will also get an additional third-row of seats which should add to its desirability quotient. The India-spec Honda CR-V will be powered by a 1.6-litre twin-turbo Earth Dreams diesel unit that is tuned to produce 160 BHP of power while developing 350 Nm of torque. This engine will come mated to a 6-speed manual and a 9-speed automatic transmission. This engine will be manufactured locally and will also make its way into the 2018 Honda Civic facelift, which is expected to be launched next year. That said, the Honda Civic display model at the Auto Expo will be the current generation model, while India is set to receive the facelift model at launch. The Honda Civic has had a cult following in the Indian market and the car is still famous amongst custom car builders. Following on the old model’s footsteps, the new Civic continues with the low-slung sporty design along with neatly designed interiors. The low-slung stance, along with the coupe-like design adds to the character of the car.
