Despite being on expensive side, the Hyundai Creta has been the country's second best selling SUV. This shows the popularity of the SUV, which has outsmarted already established players like Renault Duster, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra Scorpio. In fact, the recently launched Maruti S-Cross is available with a discount of around INR 1 lakh.
In order to meet the demand, the company has increased the production of the SUV. However, the diesel automatic variant is still popular among masses. The automatic variant of the Creta is priced at INR 13.80 lakh, which is expensive than the Mahindra Scorpio AT.

The Hyundai Creta is available with three engine options- 1.4-litre CRDi diesel, 1.6-litre CRDi diesel and a 1.6-litre petrol. While the entry level 1.4L engine is good for 89bhp and 220Nm of torque, the 1.6L diesel motor is capable of producing 126.3bhp and 260Nm of torque. The petrol engine produces 121.3bhp of power and 154.9Nm of torque. Transmission options include a six-speed manual and a six-speed automatic. The diesel automatic variant of the SUV is claimed to return a fuel efficiency of 17.01kmpl.
