Hyundai i10 Kappa2 discontinued
The i10 will now be available only with the 1.1-litre engine. Automatic version no longer available.

We, at OnCars, give car buying advice to our readers at the Live Advice page, where we received a lot of questions regarding which is better among the Grand i10 and i10. Now, although the Grand i10 is positioned higher, the gap is not wide enough, so most of the people who wanted to buy the i10 feel like getting the better car, which is the Grand i10. The recent revision (hike) in prices didn't help the case either, since prices of all cars but the Grand i10 were increased.
In a report by Overdrive, Hyundai has made it easier for its buyers to make the decision by discontinuing the 1.2-litre Kappa2 powered version of the i10, hence the car will only be available with the older 1.1-litre iRDE engine. This makes it easier for buyers to choose between the i10 and the Grand i10. The two top-spec variants, Sportz and Asta have been stopped too.
Also, since the Kappa2 powered i10 won't be in production anymore, consider the automatic variant of the i10 discontinued. Hyundai had earlier, at the launch of the Grand i10, announced that an automatic gearbox equipped version will be available at a later stage and now with the older i10 Auto being discontinued, we think the launch is quite near.
