Hyundai i20 facelift 2018 is one of the anticipated cars in the Indian market for the year 2018 that has been seen testing for quite some time now. The South Korean automaker will be launching slew of new products as well as facelifts next year. A new detailed video has surfaced online that reveals the interior of the forthcoming i20 courtesy Automobile Enthusiast. Once launched the new i20 facelift will take on Maruti Suzuki Baleno and others in the premium hatchback space. Going by the video, the upcoming 2018 Hyundai i20 is camouflaged heavily at the front as well as rear along with slightly updated dashboard. As seen in the previous spy images, the latest avatar of i20 will flaunt a cascading grille design which is in-line with Hyundai’s family look. The refreshed version of Hyundai i20 also gets revised bumper with new fog lamps and LED DRLs at the front. Coming to the rear section, the car gets new tail light styling as well as revised bumper along with number plate migrates into the boot. As seen in the video, the test vehicle could be an automatic variant of i20 as it misses out on various features such as projector headlamps, alloy wheels and sensors on the door handle for keyless entry. Currently, the company offers automatic version on the Magna trim which does not come with features mentioned. On the inside, the changes on the new upcoming 2018 Hyundai i20 are very minimal. It will also sport dual tone interiors, three-spoke steering wheel. Moreover, the button layouts on the touch screen are slightly revised and placed on the either sides. As far as the powerhouse is concerned, the new Hyundai i20 is expected to carry same set of engines as seen on the current model. The exciting model is offered in 2 petrol and 1 diesel engine options – 1.2 L Kappa petrol, 1.4 L Gamma petrol and 1.4 L U2 CRDi diesel. The transmission duties will be carried out by 5-speed manual, 4-speed automatic and 6-speed manual respectively. To be pitted against the Maruti Baleno, the hatchback might debut at Auto Expo 2018 which is speculated to go on sale by first quarter next year.
