Offered in 5 variants, the new AWD version is offered at GLS trim with AT gearbox which comes powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine. The 4-wheel drive variant is also offered with Advanced Traction Cornering Control (ATCC) which transfers the torque to the wheels featuring most grips that results in improved cornering performance. Hyundai Tucson vs Jeep Compass: Engine Specifications – Hyundai Tucson comes in both petrol and diesel variants. The former gets a 2.0-litre VTVT engine churning out 153Bhp and 192Nm of peak torque. The latter gets a 2.0-litre CRDi unit producing 182Bhp along with 400Nm of peak torque. Both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic units are available across the engine options. Coming to 2017 Jeep Compass, it is offered in both petrol and diesel specifications. Hyundai Tucson vs Jeep Compass – Design: In terms of its design, Hyundai Tucson gets Hyundai traditional Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. The Tucson looks the toned down derivative of the Hyundai Santa Fe which smooth character lines and round edges, perfect for an urban SUV. The cabin takes its inspiration from the one available on the Creta but with a touch of premium feel. On the other hand, the 2017 Jeep Compass is basically a toned down derivative of the Grand Cherokee sporting same muscular design that is indigenous to all the products by the brand – Jeep.
