Talking more about the sedan, the new Hyundai Verna is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variants are offered with 1.4-litre Kappa dual VTVT and 1.6-litre dual VTVT wherein the former is tuned to make 100 PS of maximum power @ 6000 rpm with peak torque of 132Nm @ 4000 rpm while the latter can make 123PS @ 6400 rpm and 151Nm of power figures. Both the engines are mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard while 6-speed AT is offered on the bigger engine only. The diesel engine, on the other hand, is a 1.6-litre U2 CRDi VGT unit that develops 125PS of power with 260Nm of peak torque and comes mated to 6-speed manual and 6-speed AT unit. On the dimension front, the 2017 Hyundai Verna comes with length of 4440mm, width of 1729mm and height of 1475mm along with wheelbase of 2600mm. The all-new Hyundai Verna is offered in 12 variants across 4 trim levels – E, EX, SX and SX (O). Coming to the price point, the base variant of 2017 Verna attract buyers with a price tag of INR 7.8 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) while top of the line unit is priced at INR 12.76 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
