Jaguar Land Rover and Chery Automobile join hands

Jaguar Land Rover has entered a joint venture with the Chinese car maker Chery to make JLR vehicles in China along with some new models under this partnership. Such a JV will help JLR in understanding and increasing their foothold in the Chinese market while Chery can benefit from the experience and technology their new partner has.

Changshu near Shanghai is the chosen site for JLR-Chery joint facility, which will include a manufacturing plant, an R&D centre and an engine production unit. The plant is expected to be completed in 2014.

Expansion is a good thing and this move should prove to be great for both the partners in this JV.
Naysayers, time to get jealous!
