Another scoop has surfaced online wherein official 53 page brochure for the Compass premium SUV has been leaked prior to its India launch. Scheduled to launch by the month of August, the leaked brochure reveals the off-roading capabilities, specs as well as design of the Compass SUV. The forthcoming SUV from the stable of Jeep is very much important as it would be playing an essential role in strengthening the company footprints in the domestic market. As per the leaked brochure, the upcoming Jeep Compass SUV will sport 30 plus premium features which includes Standard ESC, U-connect 7-inch infotainment system, 6-airbags, panic brake assist, all round DLO, Electric parking brake, hill start assist, and much more. The design elements such as 7-slot grille, signature style Bi-Xenon headlights, dual bumpers at the front, honeycomb mesh grille on the lower bumper, fog lamps with incorporated side indicators, clamshell bonnet, trapezoidal wheel flares, 5-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels enhances the imposing and stylish character of the SUV. The rear profile of the SUV comes with roof mounted spoiler with stop lamp, signature style LED tail light, dual tone bumpers, rear wash wipe and much more. The SUV will be offered with 5 different colour options which include Vocal White, Brilliant Black, Minimal Grey, Hydro Blue & Exotica Red. Inside the cabin, the SUV will come with sporty and sophisticated cabin space wherein the instrument panel is inspired from a fighter jet cockpit. The soft touch dashboard of the Compass SUV enhances the intelligent user experience and sophisticated ambience. The overall appeal pf the cabin is enhanced by sporty steering wheel with chrome lining, broad chested radio bezel with piano black finish, contoured accent stitched seats and much more. Under the skin, the SUV will be offered with a choice of petrol and diesel engines wherein the petrol unit will be powered by a 1.4-litre Turbo MultiAir inline petrol engine which can produce 164PS of max power against the peak torque of 250Nm. While, the diesel version will be equipped with a 2.0-litre Multi-Jet Turbo diesel engine that can develop 172PS of max power @ 3750 rpm with a peak torque of 350Nm @ 1750-2500 rpm. Both the engines will be mated to a 7-speed dry dual clutch transmission unit.The SUV will also sport Selec-Terrain System which enables the driver with real-time & on-the-fly traction management system that allows choosing from 4 different modes as per the terrain – Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud. However, Jeep will be rolling out the diesel derivative initially followed by the petrol version sometime later this year.
