Lamborghini Aventador: Lamborghini announces limited Pirelli edition Aventador for 2015

Celebrating its long-time association with Italian tyre manufacturer Pirelli, Italian sports car maker Lamborghini has announced that it will be launching a limited special Pirelli edition Aventador. Lamborghini will be manufacturing limited units of this special Aventador and it will be available in both coupe and roadster body styles. The pricing for this limited-edition hasn’t been disclosed but reports suggest that the deliveries will begin from mid-2015.

Lamborghini and Pirelli have been together since 1963 and this special Pirelli edition Lamborghini will be dedicated to their 5-decades long association. There are a number of unique features that have been designed to differentiate this special Pirelli edition Aventador from the standard Aventador. For starters, the exterior will be sporting a two-tone colour scheme, which will be available in two options.

The first option will be having matte black roof, pillars, rear-view mirrors, engine hood and the front, rear and side air intakes. This will be in contrast with the six glossy finishes that will be used for the rest of the body. The second option will using a the same combination but in reverse i.e. glossy black for the upper parts of the car and air intakes, in contrast with four matte finishes for the rest of the exterior.  Both versions feature red striping and Pirelli P Zero tyres.

Each Pirelli edition Aventador will be sporting a plaque which will bear the Pirelli name. The interiors of this special Aventador will get black Alcantara upholstery with red contrast stitching. Also, the red stripe will runs across the interior ceiling and the seats.

As for its powerhouse the Lamborghini Pirelli Edition Aventador will be sporting the same 6.5-litre V-12 engine as that of the standard Aventador LP 700-4, delivering 691PS of power. The Pirelli Edition car will sprint from 0-100kmph in 2.9 seconds with a top-speed of 349kmph.
