The company has taken a few features off the standard equipment list to bring down the price. As a result, features including the sunroof, powered front seats, rear camera and seat mounted armrests for the driver and the passenger. The big, 7-inch touchscreen system with navigation facility is also replaced with a smaller, 4.2-inch unit. There are, however, no changes to the exteriors or the mechanicals. The cut-price model continues to be offered with Land Rover’s legendary Terrain Response System, making it as capable off-road, as the regular Freelander 2.
Under the hood, the S Business Edition makes use of the same 2.2-litre TD4 diesel engine from the SE variant. Mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, the 4-cylinder unit produces 150PS of power and 420Nm of torque. Land Rover also offers the same engine with the HSE variant but in a higher state of tune.
