Vodafone India has arranged something spectacular for the Formula One fans in India. Come September 16, 2012 ace F1 racer, Lewis Hamilton along with his Vodafone McLaren Mercedes MP4-27 will engage in a series of street racing at the Mumbai's popular Marine Drive area in South Mumbai. 

 

Lewis will drive the MP4-27 along the Marine Drive curve, popularly known as the 'Queen's Necklace' that will be made to look like a Formula One race track complete with grand stand and pit garage. 

 

Some lucky customers will also get the privilege of riding with Lewis Hamilton and a chance of visiting the pit garage to see the technology behind the team, powered by Vodafone.

Furthermore, motor racing enthusiasts and speed lovers will also get to enjoy a full-scale speed experience with helmet simulators, car simulators and also an opportunity to get up close and personal with the exact replica of the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes car. 

 

The excitement around this initiative is already building up on Twitter with a #speedupmumbai hash tag requesting people to tweet their opinions on what it takes to speed up the city.
