Toyota Etios Diesel sedan launched at Rs 6.44 lakh


As we told you a few days back, Toyota is all set to launch the diesel variants of the Etios sedan and the Etios Liva hatchback today. The launch will happen in a few minutes from now in New Delhi. While the Etios sedan will have three diesel variants, the Etios Liva will only get one trim in its diesel avatar. Both the diesel cars will be powered by a 1.4-litre D-4D engine producing 68 PS of power and 170 Nm of torque. Stay tuned to OnCars as we bring you all the updates from the launch!

– The prices for the Etios Liva diesel start at Rs 5.54 lakh and for the Etios diesel sedan will start at Rs 6.44 lakh

– A database of prospective customers for the Etios diesels has already been put into place and the booking amounts will be collected starting tomorrow

– The Etios and Etios Liva diesels have been launched in time for taking advantage of the upcoming festive season

– The Etios and Etios Liva diesel launch was postponed due to the tsunami

– Etios Liva diesel hatchback to be available in only two trim levels, GD and GD + Safety pack, due to pricing constraints

– Etios diesel sedan to be available in three trim options – GD, VD and VXD

– Agressive print, TV, billboard and digital marketing practices will be followed for the promotion of the Etios / Etios Liva diesels
