Live Update: Volvo launches new range of S60, S80 and XC60

We bring you live updates from the launch function of the new Volvo range.

Volvo will unveil the new range of S60, S80 and XC60 for India today. We are live at the press conference in Delhi and waiting for more details. Volvo plans to increase its market share in India and we are expecting aggressive pricing for the new models. 

– Volvo is introducing new engine D3 in India. It is a 5-cylinder2.0-litre engine producing 165PS and 400Nm of torque.

– Volvo claims fuel efficiency of 18.5kmpl on this engine.

S60 D3 – 23.9 lakh,

S80 D3 – 31.9 lakh

XC60 for 33.9 lakh

– Volvo plans to expand its sales and service network which will continue in 2013.

– Price will go up by Rs 70,000 from March.

– No plans of assembling cars in India as yet, due to low numbers.

– The new range will now have bi xenon headlamps.

– Optional dual tone leather upholstery for S60.

– Electronic tailgate will be standard on the XC60.

– The new S80 D3 has all new interiors.
