Mahindra & Mahindra is betting big on its SUV lineup, which will soon get entry of at least two all-new models- the S101 sub-compact SUV and U301 Bolero. The company is also giving makeovers to its existing products including Quanto and XUV500. Launched back in 2011, the XUV500 received an excellent response from buyers. The vehicle was loaded with a range of comfort and convenience features. Now, this SUV is 4 year old and is asking for a change. In order to keep things fresh in the market, the homegrown automaker has refreshed its flagship SUV- the XUV500, which will most likely be launched around June or July 2015. Mahindra 2015 XUV500 Facelift: Get specifications, expected price and launch details of new XUV500

The production ready XUV 500 facelift has already been spotted several times during its test rounds on India roads. The updated model gets new grille identical to the one found in new Scorpio. The headlamps remain the same, but there are S-shaped LED daytime running light strip that flows around the projector and main beam. The side profile of the SUV remains identical, except for the new alloy wheels design. At the back, the XUV500 has new LED lit spoiler mounted stop light and revised licensing plate enclosure.

The interior of the SUV is expected to remain unchanged; however, there will be few changes to keep things fresh in the market. It features a new beige colour palette that seems more upmarket. The cowl above the infotainment system also sees a revision to avoid reflection.

There are no official comments on engine specifications of the SUV. If reports are to be believed, the company might tweak the engine to produce more power. The current model gets the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel unit that churns out 140bhp of power and 330Nm of torque. Power is transmitted to front wheels or all-wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox.

Expected Launch Date- June/July, 2015

Competition- Tata Safari Storme, Nissan Terrano and Renault Duster
