Mahindra and Mahindra, our very own homegrown automobile manufacturer has raised the curtains of the power plus variant of its Bolero SUV. This new variant now comes fitted with a tried and tested mHawk D70 engine. This power-plant claims to offer13% more power along with 5% more mileage figures than the standard Bolero. Not only that, the Bolero power plus is essentially a compact SUV since it measures 3995mm in length, 1745mm in width and 1880mm in height.
The aforementioned engine can churn out 70Bhp of power along with 195Nm of peak torque. The SUV will offer a 7-seat configuration with a promise of better sear cushioning without altering the current Bolero’s space on offer. Mahindra will be offering 3-years or 1 lakh kms warranty with the SUV (whichever comes first). The new Bolero Power plus will be available in three variants of namely SLE, SLX and ZLX. The SUV will be available across all Mahindra dealerships starting today. The prices for the base SLE variant have been retailed at INR 6.59lakh (ex-showroom).

The New Bolero Power+ continues to have a bold SUV stance with its signature front grille and masculine bumpers, while the blue vision headlamps and the contemporary body decals add to its stylish and sporty looks. The interiors aptly accentuate the stylish exteriors with the dual tone interiors.
The technology features include a digital instrument cluster, a Driver Information System (DIS), a voice messaging system and the fuel-saving Micro Hybrid technology on ZLX. This technology allows the vehicle to intelligently switch the engine into the standby mode, when not required – ensuring lower fuel consumption while being more environment-friendly too. The New Bolero Power+ also comes with an engine immobilizer which shuts down the engine if any key other than your key is used ensuring safety of the vehicle. Since its inception in the year 2000, the Bolero has undergone several makeovers in order to keep up with the times. The vehicle has emerged as a huge success in our country, especially in the rural and semi-urban areas primarily because of its practicality and mechanical reliability. This very fact has made the Bolero classify as India’s best selling SUV and that to for a period of 10 straight years in a row.
