Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the Genio for the global markets like South Africa, Sri Lanka, Latin America and Australia. Unlike the workhorse that the Genio in India is, the global model is more of a lifestyle pick-up vehicle. Therefore, the Genio’s export sibling gets the Xylo front-end, classier body work and more creature comforts. The Mahindra Genio is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that puts out 120 PS of power and 290 Nm of torque. It is mated to a five speed manual transmission and a four wheel drive system. The Genio’s export model also gets anti-lock brakes and is Euro 4 norms.
