Mahindra has announced that they will be adding 3 new models to its SUV line-up in the increasingly competitive, but lucrative Indian market. The trio, S101, Quanto facelift U215, and 2014 Bolero, codenamed U301 will be available for sale in India in the next year. All three SUVs are sub-four meter range and can give tough competition to Duster, EcoSport and with the upcoming Maruti's and Hyundai's SUV.
Mahindra S101 compact SUV is already into the testing phase on the Indian roads, expected to available for sale around next year and likely to fall in the price range of INR 5 to INR 7 lakhs, talking about the features of the new SUV – S101 is equipped with many attractive features like, auto climate-control, steering-mounted buttons, for infotainment system. The engine of S101 is powered by 1.2-litre 3-cylinder petrol engine and 1.5-litre 3-cylinder mCR100 engine.
Mahindra Quanto- U215, will be positioned between the S101 and the facelift of Bolero. We have seen the first look of Quanto at Delhi Auto Expo, the company haven’t reveled the engine details of Quanto, but reports suggest that the Quanto facelift will be an AMT variant.
The third SUV is the facelift of popular Bolero and will hit the Indian road by next year. Company hasn’t disclosed any picture or engine details of 2014 Bolero but chances are that it is likely to be built on a new platform.

Carmakers in India have so far depended largely on their dealer networks to drive sales and the Mahindra & Mahindra’s partnership with Snapdeal is the first of its kind in the Indian automobile sector.
